Stéphanie & Géraud
Wedding / Photographed by Peter Kalogeropoulos & Valerie Baron / Sacacomie, Qc. Saturday, June 16th 2012
Stéphanie and Géraud wed at one of my favourite destinations in Quebec: Hotel Sacacomie. The hotel lies in between Montreal and Québec City and offers guests the most breathtaking expanse of lush forest to meditate on from their rooms- A brilliant place to tie the knot!
I would like to extend to the guests of this wedding a big THANK YOU, for being so much fun and wild at the same time! Val and Peter were treated exceptionally by everyone and had an unforgettable weekend. Bisous a tout les invités de Québec, France, et l'Espagne!

Liana & David
Wedding / Photographed by Chelsea Gray / Venice, Italy / Monday, June 26th 2012
This summer I had the opportunity to photograph a
gorgeous wedding luncheon on the rooftop of Venice's historic Hotel Danieli. The bride (a Montreal college professor) who frequently returns to Venice to research her doctoral dissertation on Venetian Art, crafted to a "T" her version of the perfect afternoon for her guests. The feast was impeccable, and the views of the Grand Canal and Adriatic Sea were absolutely breathtaking. Quite frankly, it was the most carefree afternoon wedding I'd ever attended!
We are currently submitting Liana+ David's wedding story to be published in print so for now, this is a little preview of the gorgeous details of the day- one of which was the dress. As Liana chose to wear her aunt's wedding gown from over 55 years ago, it added a truly nostalgic warmth to the event, and photos from the aunt's wedding were distributed to everyone
at dessert. In our bride's own words, this is how her big day unfolded:"The morning of our reception in Venice, we breakfasted at our wonderful hotel, La Calcina in Dorsoduro, where Ruskin wrote The Stones of Venice, before taking a water taxi along the Grand Canal and the Bacino di San Marco to the Danieli—a glamorous beginning to what would be a magical day. Arriving at the Danieli, we entered the fourteenth-century Palazzo Dandolo to be greeted by our guests, many of whom were already emotional since they had also attended my aunt’s wedding all those years ago. During their speeches, my parents expressed how moved they were that I, a daughter of immigrants, chose to return to the land of their birth to celebrate my wedding."
I would like to personally thank both families for their incredible hospitality and for showing me the wonders of Venice by foot and sea. I cannot begin to express just how special this trip was for me, and the best part of all was becoming friends with Liana and her darling sidekick, Ariel. We have many adventures ahead now, I'm sure!

Sarah & Dominique
Engagement / Photographed by Chelsea Gray / Montreal Qc. / Monday, Aug 6th 2012
Sarah and Dominique are bird researchers who met in school while developing their respective theses. As longtime residents of "the
Henry" (St-Henri in Montreal to be exact), they decided to reveal the neighbourhood's hottest bird-watching zones to me on Monday. As we set off, I was most definitely inspired by the innocence of young love from the movie Moonrise Kingdom and a Dan Mangan song that I've been listeningto all summer, called "Leaves, Trees, Forest"...Enjoy!

Poppy & Jeremy's wedding
took place in June at the Birk's Chapel, followed by a long evening of incredibly well-written speeches, crazy dancing, and a handful of emotional musical performances by their talented friends at the McGill Faculty Club.
We loved the attention to detail that went into the planning of the one-of-a-kind bridesmaid purses & groomsmen gifts,
as well as the cheeky little notebook stationary for guests. Well done!
