Now that our engagement session based on "The Notebook" has received quite a lot of praise from the blogging community, (thanks to greenweddingshoes.com) I thought I'd google around and check out what people were saying (and most importantly to check if proper photography credit was given!). Well I'm new to all of this, blogging- pingbacks, tweets, I'm really not on the absolutely-obsessed crazy train of wedding blog scouting BUT I am a gal and I like to see pretty things so I do indulge ever so often on a few of my favourite stylish blogs like Style Me Pretty. Well tonight, while perusing a few sites to read the feedback (mostly positive (yay!) and a couple negative (weirded out by some of the sexier shots (boo!) I realized that one of my dreams had come true.
In May, Elizabeth (my trusty photographic partner in crime) sent me a link to a post about an engagement shoot based on the movie UP. I thought that it was insanely cute and although I hadn't yet seen the film, I fell in love with the visuals and design-savvy and I could only imagine how amazing the actual movie was. Liz and I decided then and there that we would forever encourage our clients to think outside of the box and go for the most creative way possible to showcase their love in their e-sessions. When it came time for Jean-Nicola and Cindy to choose their location for an e-session, I sent them a couple links (including the UP shoot) and they came up with the Notebook idea immediately. Thanks to their original idea and our photographs, we're now featured on several blogs alongside the very shoot that inspired us in the first place! That is what I call a dream materialized...
