Fanny and Tiago met in school and have been together for over seven years. Tiago was born in Portugal and absolutely loves fishing, while Fanny’s passion is photography, so it was a natural decision to head out to the water and play for the camera with Elizabeth. This was the site where they got engaged as well- Tiago proposed to Fanny in a “bateau mouche” that sailed around the Old Port….how romantique!

Cindy and Jean-Nicola are going to have quite the traditional wedding this September so I asked them if they’d like to go a little crazy on their engagement shoot. I sent Cindy a few links to the most amazing engagement shoots that have been blogged about recently (one included a take on the movie UP) and she emailed me back that she’d like to head to Jean-Nicola’s cottage in Chertsey Quebec and re-create scenes from their favourite movie “The Notebook”… She promised he’d even grow his beard out and everything! Well, how could I resist? I just had to rent the movie first- apparently I’m “the last woman in the world who hasn’t seen the movie” according to the kid at the rental store. A few things to note: Doesn’t Cindy look exactly like Rachel McAdams? It’s crazy! Plus, if you notice carefully, Jean-Nic doesn’t sport the promised beard (we had to reschedule the shoot to a later date due to thunderstorms and by then, the beard had grown quite long and he had to shave it! Ok folks. Get ready for this one! Catherine and Paul’s engagement session was an absolute treat to shoot. They brought us out to John Abbott college where they met, and got into some trouble in each and every nook and cranny of the place (including the bleachers where Paul proposed). The highlight of the shoot was completely messing up an art room that we stumbled upon (shhhh…) and driving off with giant crates of organic tomatoes from Paul’s family farm…Best.Shoot.Ever!

Jackie and Jamie are getting married in September and it happens to be on the busiest day of the year for us: September 4th. We have 5 weddings booked on that date and we’re looking forward to sending out the crew all over Montreal. Jackie and Jamie decided to meet Jacinthe and I at the Old Port and we ventured over to a secret oasis area that I’d never figured out how to enter before…..until our shoot!

Lisa and Blair decided to take me out to the country to visit the famous Finnegan’s Market in Hudson, Quebec, and I’m so glad they did because it was totally my kind of place!  I mean, who doesn’t love crazy antique knick knacks and fresh honey and biscuits??? As big HGTV fans, Lisa and I share an appreciation for all things fun and quirky to jazz up a space. We’ve been watching Sara Richardson for years and wanted to find our own treasures, yet this time, all we bought were food items! Fresh homemade bread and creamy cinnamon honey with wildflowers, mmmmmm.

This session was held just 2 days ago in the sweltering heat. Louise and John wanted to show me their love of music and hang out near the Atwater market for a stroll. The cutest part was that they brought along their translation books to illustrate how when they first met 7 years ago, they couldn’t speak each other’s language (Louise is a francophone and John’s an anglophone)…I can’t wait for their wedding next month at the Upstairs Lounge!

Neel and Elizabeth set out with Tiffany and Pawel for their engagement shoot in some industrial areas of Saint Henri for a badass motorcycle shoot…check it out!

Audrey and Stéphane were the couple that we brought out one chilly December’s evening for a steamy sunset shoot at Montreal’s architectural gem, Habitat 67. What I love most about the photos of their day is that they are so colourful and abstract. Elizabeth and Neel did an amazing job creating one-of-a-kind images for our couple…enjoy!

Lauren and Oskar make such a charmingly good-looking pair. Their family and friends flew in from around the globe to see them wed a few weekends ago and I am pleased to share their photos with you. (I felt a little more pressure this time than usual, given that Lauren herself is a photographer AND close family friend to my best pal, Stephen). I can only imagine how much fun they’re having right now on their adventurous Honeymoon to Indonesia, Borneo, Cambodia, and Malaysia! Cheers guys:

This wedding was 13 years in the making… As high school sweethearts, Jessica and Sebastian have been dating for 13 years now so it was finally the day to tie the knot. Rob and I had the opportunity to witness the fusion of two incredibly close families: Seb’s Chinese/Peruvian family danced around the reception all night, in group dances, infectious smiles all around, and Jess’ Armenian/Arabic family brought out sticks and belly danced with her to the deejaying and music of the Directors. (The Directors had so much talent, it was silly)…I mean these guys actually sang Lady Gaga songs live! Thanks again Seb+Jess, you were the epitome of grace and warmth. We had a great day with you:)
