I drove to Boston for the Labour day weekend with my best friend and we had a blast EATING everywhere! I must say, we truly wined and dined at some of Boston’s finest restaurants. Our hotel, the brand new Fairmont Battery Wharf was situated in the North End (Little Italy) so we definitely headed straight for the Italian restaurants on the first night, finally choosing the longest-running Trattoria in the North End, Il Panino which specialized in cuisine from Italy’s Amalfi Coast. The next day we hit up the Il Panino Express which, according to our palettes, had the BEST SANDWICHES EVER!….You must go there if you visit Boston. I think we split a total of 7 giant sandwiches over the course of 3 days! I also highly, highly recommend the unpretentious Grotto restaurant. Our server was a cool, totally nonchalant dude that eased us into one of the most memorable meals I’ve had all year…Next up was B+G Oysters. We were sold instantly by their website’s food photography, but we ended up a little disappointed by the end the night. Now I know that I’ve been chatting to you primarily about food for this entire post, but I’m not going to post any food shots, just a sample of some that I took at the I.M Pei-designed JFK Presidential Library. Enjoy!
