Back from my trip around the world in 28 days, I’m refreshed and completely ready for our busy wedding season! With over 50 weddings booked this year, I definitely needed some time away to soak in the world…Here are a few of my favourite shots from my travels, enjoy!

THE BLUSHING BRIDE STUDIO CREW

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

We’re finally done editing! It’s time to relax and enjoy the holidays with a little R+R now….ahhhh.

At Blushing Bride Studio, we absolutely looooove our jobs, and take what we do very seriously, so to capture the perfect images we need some crazy maneuvres! Here are some of our favourite “at-work” shots from the 2009 season.

We truly cater to our brides…In this scene, a bridesmaid’s foot cramped up and I was there for support:

The boys swore they’d freak out if I posted this, but I think it’s hilarious…Testing for the big shot, (which turned out to be the groom’s favourite!).

CRAIG AND KARRIE (wedding)

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Saturday, August 15th 2009 photographed by Chelsea Gray (Pender Island,BC)

When my brother married Meg in Mexico two years ago, I formally gained a sister-in-law, (and I must admit, I truly lucked out in the in-law dept) because not only is she fabulous, so is her brother Craig, and well, all of the Mudies for that matter!

After a fun-filled ferry ride from Vancouver to Pender (we were all treated to a Killer whale pod swimming by!) we headed to the luxurious Poet’s Cove Resort and settled into our villas for the wedding weekend which included a pre-wedding bbq on Friday night and a post wedding Sunday brunch at the family cottage. Craig and Karrie had been anticipating this moment for what seemed like an eternity, (as they practically grew up together throughout their adolescence), so it’s always a touching moment to watch two soulmates finally tie the knot!

TRIP TO BOSTON (sept 6-9 2009)

Monday, September 14th, 2009

I drove to Boston for the Labour day weekend with my best friend and we had a blast EATING everywhere! I must say, we truly wined and dined at some of Boston’s finest restaurants. Our hotel, the brand new Fairmont Battery Wharf was situated in the North End (Little Italy) so we definitely headed straight for the Italian restaurants on the first night, finally choosing the longest-running Trattoria in the North End, Il Panino which specialized in cuisine from Italy’s Amalfi Coast. The next day we hit up the Il Panino Express which,  according to our palettes, had  the BEST SANDWICHES EVER!….You must go there if you visit Boston. I think we split a total of 7 giant sandwiches over the course of 3 days! I also highly, highly recommend the unpretentious Grotto restaurant. Our server was a cool, totally nonchalant dude that eased us into one of the most memorable meals I’ve had all year…Next up was B+G Oysters. We were sold instantly by their website’s food photography, but we ended up a little disappointed by the end the night. Now I know that I’ve been chatting to you primarily about food for this entire post, but I’m not going to post any food shots, just a sample of some that I took at the I.M Pei-designed  JFK Presidential Library. Enjoy!
