In Quebec, come mid- March, we pride ourselves in gorging on big, delicious pieces of meat(s) and pancakes drizzled in syrup amongst family and friends at our famous “Cabane A Sucres”… Now, I’m a vegetarian (well, Pescatarian, actually), whom after 10 years of living in Montreal has never even set foot in one, nor have I celebrated the epic CARNIVAL festival in Quebec city…(oh, shame on meeee!), so when a couple suggested that we hit up a Cabane a Sucre for an engagement shoot, I was all aboard!
Steph and Fred are the kind of folks that I can get along with…always joking, totally sarcastic…they’re just a treat, really. We headed all the way out to Rigaud to the Sucrerie de la Montage and we were absolutely blown away by the warm ambiance of the dining rooms and the food was actually quite impressive! (I’ve heard mixed reviews to date on the food, but I can live with slightly bland potatoes in exchange for the atmosphere). Overall, we had a great time and I can honestly say that these two make great new friends for me. I can’t wait till their big day:)
