Saturday the 20th was a double wedding day for us at the studio…
Elizabeth was out in Quebec city while Neel, Paulo and I were in town shooting Katharine and Patrick’s winter nuptials, which was held at the prestigious Mount Royal Club. Here are a few of my favourite shots from their elegant ceremony and wildly entertaining, karaoke-filled reception. The highlights of the night for us was watching the best man’s animated slideshow about the groom (aka PACKER)…it was easily one of the most well-crafted, hilarious slideshows we’ve ever witnessed at a wedding (and we’ve seen a LOT of slideshows in our time). Another great moment was when the bride’s father broke into “Shake a Tail Feather” onstage as his daughter and friends shook around with their “tail feathers” in the air. The night ended with some good-old slow songs such as Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon”, and I can still see the groom’s parents gazing into each others’ eyes as they danced to that one… It was a beautiful sight!

We received our free copies of MARIAGE CHIC magazine today, (and I must say) we were very, VERY impressed with the modern layout and design of the magazine. I am so pleased that they chose to feature a whole page of Julia and Eric’s wedding photos from this past August. The wedding took place in Brome, Quebec and was easily one of the most enjoyable weddings that we have ever shot. I would like to personally mention just how lucky I am to have such a hard-working team: Elizabeth, Paulo, Neel, you are truly exceptional. Maxime and Marty (our in-house designer+programmer), you have helped us advertise Blushing Bride Studio with so much elegance and devotion….THANK YOU ALL!

Happy New Year, everyone!
One of my 2009 brides, (the lovely Samantha) asked me if I could photograph a baptism last week and I enjoyed every second of it. Twin babies John and Louka were baptized at the St-Sauver Cathedral, followed by a family luncheon at Ammos restaurant in Laval. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the family for including me in their luncheon, as I had a great time listening to their animated debates on life and politics. I even picked up a little Arabic: أشكركم من أعماق قلبي!
