Jean-Michel & Rachelle
Wedding / Photographed by Elizabeth Delage & Daniel Francis Haber / Ile-Sainte-Helene / Sunday, July 3rd 2011
July 3rd 2011 called for rain... BIG rain, and thunderstorms, but the skies opened up miraculously by the morning and we were treated to one of the most beautiful warm, sunny Saturdays of the month ! Rachelle and Jean-Michel (aka Mitch) wed quietly, surrounded by family and friends under the swaying willows of Ile-Sainte-Helene, followed by a cocktail hour and reception hosted by Montreal's infallible AVOCADO caterers at the Toundra (former Canadian Pavilion at Expo '67). The site brought out an incredibly sentimental moment for Rachelle's father, whom cheap auto insurance quotes 44 years ago, on the exact same day was discovering the Pavilion for the first time at Expo '67. During his speech he expressed his utmost joy that never had he imagined he would be celebrating not only his birthday, but the wedding
of his daughter at the same site he adored as a child...

Karen & Archangelo
Engagement / Photographed by Chelsea Gray / Montreal, Qc. /
Wednesday, July 13th 2011
For our engagement shoots, I've been dying to try something new this summer, so the annual "L'International des Feux Loto-Québec" was the perfect event for me to switch up the gears and test out shooting at night under crazy lighting conditions. Karen and Archangelo were totally on board with the idea, and chose ITALY's night (a nod to Archie's heritage), so we set off to climb the Jacques Cartier bridge for the best view. By the time we found the most unobstructed view on the bridge, so did the rest of Montreal apparently (!) so I started to panic slightly that all our shots would either have children running through them or the bridge's barrier fence would overshadow our couple. I decided to hit the pavement and shoot as high as I could into the sky and completely avoid the crowd, all the while, cursing softly every time the flash wouldn't go off while debris flew into my eyes
and now deafened ears....But it worked! And we had a blast...Success!

Manuela & Anton
Wedding / Photographed by Chelsea Gray & Neel Mehra / Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC. / Friday, June 10th 2011
On Manuela and Anton's wedding day, as the two were getting ready, we couldn't help but notice how 007 they were looking. Manuela's makeup and hair team were incredibly
calm and relaxed, allowing our bride to indulge in a few last hours of peace before all the events of the day while Anton and his groomsmen were sent on a dollar store mission for a few more props for the Photobooth. When it
came time for the portraiture session, instead of traipsing around the gorgeous landscape of the Chateau Vaudreuil (which we've photographed many times) we decided to try something new. With access to a warehouse nearby, and without hesitation from our couple, we jetted off to complete our mission impossible: make a greasy factory mysterious and romantic while offering our couple a completely unique wedding shoot.

Lea & Jeff
Wedding / Photographed by Chelsea Gray & Daniel Francis Haber / Montreal, Qc. / Sunday, June 5th 2011
Lea and Jeff are currently living in Toronto but came back to Montreal to celebrate their big day
with friends and family from all over the globe. Daniel and I had a great time shooting their portraiture session in the Old Montreal as well as across the street
from the synagogue, where Lea's bridesmaids were willing to jump into the dusty dugout of a baseball field for shots. I've included one of our signature blooper shots as well. At BBS, we've coined the term: 'Dude, you're in my shot!' for all shots that feature of one our photogs in the background accidentally. In this frame, you'll see Leah looking at me during the Hora dance, and Daniel's in the background with his arms in the air, trying to get a high view angle...It's a classic, 'dude you're in my shot' shot, so enjoy. Makes me laugh every time...
